Here's what the humans have to say about me:
2/12/21: Coco has continued to heal and play at foster moms along with the rest of the pack! She is beautiful and so sweet. With the hardware to rebuild Cocos pelvis, she cannot sit or jump. She loves to lay on the sofa with her people, and get belly rubs. She loves her joint supplements and her fish oil. She would do best in a home with people that are home most of the day. She wants to be on the sofa with you or in the bed. She would do well on short walks but always keep in mind she has hardware and she can tire if you push her. If you think you have the perfect home for this beauty, go to UYR.us and fill out an adoption application.
9/12/21: Coco is healing nicely from the orthopedic surgery on her shattered pelvis. She still has a limp and seems to be a little painful. Foster mom is doing water therapy with her and we will have current x-rays reviewed by the surgeon that performed her surgery. Coco is a mild, gentle girl and she may always have a limp and is at risk to have arthritis in that area so foster mom and the vet have her on a joint supplement and Omega 12 for her skin.
Coco needs a low key home with no children and people who will love her, a family that will keep up with her supplements and make sure she has regular vet visits to stay on top of any issues that may come up with her from her pelvic surgery. Precious Coco was just spayed and is resting comfortably. She loves to cuddle, sleeping with foster mom and dad, and is hungry for attention. If you think you have the perfect home for Coco, please fill out an application clicking on the link below.
7/27/21 Initial Bio: Hello, meet sweet, sweet Coco. Coco was brought to an animal shelter after being hit by a car. Coco sustained major fractures and breaks to her pelvic area. The skilled veterinarian surgeons put this baby back together and the Animal shelter called UYR to take over the care of this little girl. SHE is heartworm negative and only about three weeks out from her surgery. It will take at least another three weeks for her to heal. While in UYRs care, Coco is rehabbing with foster mom. Coco is up and walking gently but foster mom is doing some water therapy with her and she is getting better. Coco is healing nicely and once she has the all clear from her surgery, she will need to be spayed. Coco was a mere 8 pounds when she came to UYR and it appears she may have lived on the street for a bit. Foster mom makes sure Coco eats good dog food and feeds her several times a day. This little girl has come a long way and her prognosis is good!!! Coco needs to be in a home with adults that will just love and snuggle with her. She is hungry for affection and has latched onto foster mom and foster dad quickly. She will need someone that will follow up with the vet to make sure everything is healing well. She is not a candidate for a home with children. If you think you can give Coco the forever life she deserves, please fill out an application at uyr.us.
