Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is Danny, a very regal 3-year-old that looks like a lion 🦁(minus the mane). Danny was rescued after repeatedly trying to get into someone’s home. Danny enjoys being around people but is not a needy cat. You can pick him up and hold him but he is very content just hanging out with you. He likes to be pet and brushed but will tell you when he’s had enough. His fetching skills are remarkable and he has a new-found joy for playing with a laser toy. He will make a great companion and be happiest in a home with adults and teens and no other cats. Danny tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus but is otherwise in excellent health. If you were interested in him until you read that last sentence, PLEASE don’t turn away from Danny. FIV is a slow-progressing, feline-only virus that can compromise a cat’s immune system. However, with the same love and care any cat deserves, the average lifespan for a cat with FIV is the same as a cat that does not have FIV. We would be happy to answer questions about FIV and share reputable, current, online resources. If you would like to meet Danny, please submit our online adoption application at www.fofct.org. Please note we only place cats in homes in lower Fairfield County and nearby NY.
