My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This handsome boy was tied to a tree for the majority of his life. Now he is hoping to find a loving home to spend the rest of his life. Duke would do best in a home with no other dogs. He doesn’t seem to mind cats. No children please. Duke is a very strong willed dog and he needs a very experienced (alpha) adopter. He does resource guard and because of that he has a bite history. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, flea treated, heart worm negative, lymes positive (this is something that will need monitored for flare ups), wormed, and microchipped. He is friendly with people and loves to play, especially with squeaky toys! Duke has recently been diagnosed with Irritable Bowl Disease and needs to be on a special diet. Duke has been adopted and returned previously. He is an incredibly sweet and loving dog but does have issues that need to be worked with. Because of this he requires a local adopter. Adoption requirements MUST ALL be met for your application to be processed. They are prior breed experience, you must own your home, have a secure, physical fenced in yard, no children, no other dogs, keep him on his prescribed diet, and take him to training.
