My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mr Max is a super sweet little guy. He just came to us over the weekend and we had him see he vet yesterday for a check up. He’s pretty skinny and we wanted to make sure he didn’t have any underlying issues causing his body condition. Also if you didn’t notice, he is another wonky legged little doggo.

We are probably going to start a special “Leg Fund” that way when donations come in they can be designated as to where you want them to go. Some fundraisers may be just for the “Leg Fund” as we now have 3 doggos that are going to need reconstructive surgery for their deformed legs.

Back to Mr Max though, currently he gets around fine, he’s just a bit slow. We personally believe that’s just his general pace though. He speeds up when he’s excited. Mr Max is about 2-3 years old, neutered, he was just treated for heartworm in November, lymes negative, flea treated, wormed, and microchipped. He is also crate trained. Mr Max seems to really like other dogs and wants to try to play whenever he sees them. We aren’t quite sure if if he should be trusted with cats. He was very curious and pushy with a dog savvy cat he met (he didn’t hurt it though) however when he saw another cat that ran past him he aggressively tried to go after that one. Mr Max loves people and is happy just lay beside you. He would love to find a forever home for Christmas (it would be foster to adopt due to his legs). He would even be thrilled to find a regular foster home. If you are interested in fostering or adopting Mr Max, please go to our website and complete an application.
