My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Augustus (aka Gus) is a handsome brindle boy who weighs about 80 pounds. He was born in June of 2020 and is a solid, athletic fellow. He really likes people and is eager to please. He is playful and enjoys making pals of female dogs. Gus doesn't like most male dogs but the girls are fine. He likes to rough house with his doggy buddies, but likes to be with his people even more. He is generally polite and sits on command. He has a lot of energy and loves to run. When called, Gus will race toward you and skid to a stop to sit in front of you waiting to be petted or to receive a treat. He likes both!  Gus rides well in the car and is easy to bathe. He is good on a leash (as long as there aren't any male contenders in the immediate vicinity) and would love to be your buddy to go for long walks or to jog around the neighborhood. Augustus is a real Prince Charming and will make a wonderful addition to some lucky castle. How about yours?

More about this rescue

Formed in 2008, Cinderella Pet Rescue was established to rescue animals from abuse, neglect and abandonment and to help prepare the for adoption. Additionally CPR promotes spay/neuter to reduce the serious homeless pet crisis in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas. An all volunteer organization, there are normally between 55 and 65 dogs at our no-kill shelter as well as a couple dozen cats. Even more pets are placed in foster homes in preparation for adoption. Not funded by anyone, Cinderella Pet Rescue counts on donations and fundraisers to support the needs of the animals in care, from food to veterinary treatment. More volunteers and foster homes are always needed.
