My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello everyone it's me Kassaba- pretty neat name if I do say so myself. I am looking forward to meeting you & introducing you to ME & my brother Tabasco - we are a bonded pair and have never been away from each other! We've been in a loving home since we were adopted as kittens, but our person sadly passed away and there was no one else who could keep us, so we are looking for a quiet home that doesn't mind if we like to hide. We are very affectionate and enjoy playing with crinkle balls and in paper bags, we also can help chase away the occasional bug or mouth. We cannot wait to meet you, love you & feel happy & secure in our new home. I am fixed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and ready to go home with you and Tabasco, so please come visit us!

***KASSABA & TABASCO ARE A BONDED PAIR & MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER. YOU PAY JUST ONE ADOPTION FEE***

More about this shelter

Our Vision - Be Our Heart & Voice
Building a caring community where every adoptable and treatable pet finds a life-long loving home.

Our Mission
The Humane Society of Sedona is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of pets in our community and beyond. The Society has served the Verde Valley since 1966.

The Linda and Allan Brecher Center for Animals at the society is designed to allow every person, who desires the love of a pet, to adopt and provide a forever loving home. The Center provides quality care and positive reinforcement behavior training for adoptable pets. Passionate volunteers help walk and socialize the pets in our care. Foster pet parents are an important part of caring for pets outside the Center.

The Society provides vital services for pets and people alike through income-based affordable spay/neuter surgeries and vaccination clinics. Also, for families in need to feed their pets, we have a Pet Food Program.

Another public resource is our adult and youth educational programs.

The Society relies on community support, contributions, grants, bequests, investments, proceeds from the Society’s thrift stores and some fees for service in order to save pets’ lives.
