My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Petals is a female black with tan and white mix breed puppy. She is about 16 weeks old and weighs 14 pounds (on 12/8/21). Petals is recently spayed. She has had three sets of puppy vaccines, rabies vaccine, and two rounds of dewormer. Petals is ready for adoption.

Petals and her five siblings were rescued from Bossier City Animal Control. They are socialized with people, and have friendly, playful personalities. Petals is a good-natured, happy puppy. She loves to wrestle and play with her siblings. We really have no idea of the breed mix but best guess she will be a small-medium sized dog, maybe 25-30-ish lbs? Petals has a good start on potty training and has been introduced to the leash. She also likes toys and cuddles. Petals would like to be a part of a fun family.

The adoption fee for Petals is $200. Petals will be adopted with a spay/neuter contract, signed by the adopter requiring the adopter to have the puppy spayed/neutered before six months of age at the adopter’s expense.

We require all potential adopters to submit an application. We only accept applications for a specific dog you are interested in adopting. We do not keep waiting lists or files of general applications for dogs we might get later. A completed adoption application and, upon approval, an adoption contract is required. Jeff Tarpley Rescue welcomes applications from homeowners, renters, and condo or apartment dwellers. At a minimum, a phone interview will be conducted and a vet reference checked before the applicant may meet their preferred pet.

We adopt primarily in the 4 states of the ArkLaTexOma. Applicants willing to travel to Texarkana will also be considered with additional requirements to qualify as approved.
