Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Who needs a little Sweet Potato in their life?
This little yam came to us as an unclaimed stray, so we don't know much about her before she came to us. Now that she has been with her foster mom for a few months, we have learned that SP is the sweetest little girl and a wonderful little companion. She does need a little time to warm up to people and is affectionate and loving once she gets to know you. Patience is required and the payoff is a girl who sits by you and looks at you with loving eyes. Whatever her life may have been is all in the past as she looks for a future with a loving forever family.
Sweet Potato lives with both small and medium dogs in her foster home and gets along with everyone. We don't know how she will react to cats, and we prefer that she go to a quieter home with no small children. Her foster mom adores her and has told us that whoever adopts her will be very, very lucky!
Sweet Potato originally came to us as a transfer from the Humane Society due to Grade 2 (out of 4) luxating patellas, which are very common with small dogs. Grade 1 or 2 luxating patellas usually do not require surgery and our vet confirmed that our sweet girl has no obvious lameness or pain. Therefore, she does not need to have any surgical correction or be on any medications.
If you would like to adopt Sweet Potato, please visit our website and fill out an application. All of our rescues are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Medical records from our partner vet hospital are included with every adoption.
