Meet Rocko also known as little Ricky to some. Rocko is believed to be a papillon chihuahua mix at 3 years of age. He is adorable and can be sweet but he has set boundaries .He requires a slow intro with people. He requires patience to gain his trust. He is an over confident little who does not care to be picked up, petted, held, or touched. He thrives in a multi dog environment so a home with a stable balance pack is required. He does well with dogs of all ages and size, cats, but ABSOLUTELY NO CHILDREN! .Rocko dislikes chaos caused by children. Mature responsible teens that will not tease bully or pick on him may work. Rocko is easily overstimulated and stressed when it comes to people in his environment within his circle who try to touch him. Rocky is beautiful but not your typical little. He is overweight and currently on a diet. We believe his behaviors are pain related due to his extra weight. Again he needs an experienced person who will not try to make him a purse dog or treat him like a baby. He thrives with discipline, structure, routine, and daily exercise. He enjoys being a dog, his independence and attention all on his terms. He is set in his ways and owns major attitude. He will try to bully and intimidate but this is his way of guarding himself from being bothered. he is just a stubborn, grouchy little shit who is entitled and use to getting his way by all means including. Since with us his entitlement has gone down and he is still learning but that does not stop his set ways. He is an asshole and happy to be one. he believes it makes him boss and keep him in charge.
Ricky is house and crate trained, up to date on all appropriate core vaccines including lepto, rabies, dewormed, fecal tested negative, microchipped, neutered, and on monthly heartworm flea/tick prevention.
Out-of-state adopters are welcome at the adopter's expense. We do NOT ship and meet and greet are required before adoption unless you are a previous adopter.
We believe training is an ongoing process that needs to be worked on daily. New issues and opportunities arise daily that have to be addressed and or rewarded. Continued training is a lifetime commitment.
