Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Snow Bio
Name: Snow
Breed: Westie mix
Age: 9
Cat tested: Yes
Child tested: Recommend older, dog savvy kids!
My name’s Snow and I’m a white fluffy westie with a heart of gold.
I’m an older gentleman and fairly set in my ways, so I’m looking for a home that can give me structure and help me work on my manners. More on that later. Let me start by telling you a bit about myself.
I love short, leisurely walks, long naps in the sun, playful games of chase, and peaceful evenings on the couch snuggling with my human.
At the moment I’m living with a cat and we get along fine, as long as she doesn’t bother me we’re cool. I’m completely house trained, crate trained, and have no trouble with car rides.
One thing I am working on at the moment is Leash walking skills. Sometimes being around other dogs on walks can be overwhelming for me. I’m currently working on feeling calmer in these situations. I hope to find a forever home with someone that will put the same level of care and attention into my training so I can continue to improve.
I have had positive interactions with dogs in the past, and would be ok with a neutral/non reactive laid back companion pup.
I really like meeting new people but they have to take it slow. My new family needs to have the confidence to stand up for me and make sure other humans know that a dog’s space should be respected. For this reason, I’d prefer a home with older children only who understand how to approach dogs and how to give me my space if I ask for it.
I do have cognitive heart failure, but with medication & routine blood work every 6-12 months, I'll be just fine!
I’m a small dog so I don’t need a big house or a yard (although that’s always a bonus). I just need a relaxed environment and a person that has the knowledge and patience to help me with my training. Once you get to know me I’m a sweet old man just looking for someone to love. So please, if it sounds like you and I might get along, apply to adopt me!
Snow has been with Grassroots K9 Georgina for a month or so now and has done incredibly!!! We’re so proud of this little man and all he’s accomplished!
