Stewart is 1 y/o Collie mix weighing 42#. We pulled him the day before he was scheduled to be euthanized for no other reason other than the long holiday weekend. Stewart is now in CO learning how to be a beloved indoor family member. He’s learning to walk on a leash; he still pulls a bit while walking but likes to jog alongside his foster mom. He is good when he sees dogs, but barks some at strangers and wants to herd certain louder moving vehicles. His foster mom is teaching him a “watch me” cue to help him focus on her instead of the scary things. Stewart likes squeaky toys and balls and takes treats gently most of the time. He’s a very happy pup and gets the zoomies at least once a day. He’s medium+ energy dog who REQUIRES a fenced in yard. He’s never peed in his foster’s house and doesn’t mark on his walkies. He’s comfortable in his crate but the crate door is rarely shut. He’d do much better with humans who work from home so he can be let out frequently to continue his house manners like improving his weakness for shoe laces and electrical cords. Stewart is a smart boy but may be too much for little kids under 10 y/o. Stewart has not been cat tested and we think he’d probably chase them. He is neutered, utd on vaccs, HW tested and chipped. If interested in meeting Stewart, you can complete our application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with all humans and pets in the home. His adoption fee is $375 and we are not doing out of state adoptions.
