POGO is not ready to adopt yet but needs a foster home to hang at until he is ready to be fitted for a pawsthetic or wheelchair.
Pogo is an 8-month-old cattle dog mix who was born without a paw and will need a prosthetic to live a happy, pain-free life and will need time to grow before he can be fitted. He is not in pain and walks well, but as he gets bigger, it will create a strain on his muscles, making a prosthetic necessary. He was rescued as a stray from Tucson and has been in a foster home, but is looking for a new place to hang without so many dogs to navigate. He loves all dogs, kids, and people, but tends to get knocked over and pushed around by the bigger dogs. If you have a quiet home with a nice fur kid that doesn't mind a nosey little brother, Pogo would love to meet you! He is crate trained, housebroken, good with all dogs, cats, and kids and just needs a patient family who will give him time to shine. If interested in fostering Pogo, please visit our website at www.cooperschance.org for application. Foster and adoption applications are the same.
