Here's what the humans have to say about me:
It’s a rare thing to find a bonded pair as precious of Max and Wookie. These two sweet boys lost their home when their previous owner passed away and there was no one in the family who could take them.
Both of these little guys are around 7 years old. Max is a Lhasa Apso mix and weighs about 15 pounds. His buddy Wookie is a Yorkie mix who weighs around 14 pounds. Being together helps them be confident and the fun-loving little guys they can be. Max is more adventurous and willing to try new things and Wookie will join in when he sees Max having fun without him.
Because he’s a bit bolder, Max can get himself in a bit of trouble like getting stuck while trying to duck under the fence (with Wookie right there egging him on). He would probably be happy to go run around the neighborhood on his own so a secure yard is a must.
Wookie is a bit shier than Max. He is very verbal and will sit and have conversations with you for as long as you want to talk to him. He has a lot to say and is happy when someone invites him to say it.
These boys haven’t been tested around kids or cats, but we think they would do well with respectful kids over 10 years old. Max might be inclined to chase a cat until he’s told not to. They will both do well around other dogs with a slow introduction. Both of them walk nicely on leash and are crate trained, but don’t really like sleeping I their crate (they’ll give you a really dirty look at bedtime if they have to sleep in their crate but will comply. They are both doing better with housetraining, but with the colder weather, they need to be reminded that outside is where they need to be going.
Both Max and Wookie have been neutered, are current on their vaccinations, have tested negative for heartworm and are microchipped.
You can visit at the PetSmart in Salt Lake City, (389 W. 1830 S.) the third Saturday of every month from 11-3 pm.
These two little guys are very entertaining and will create a lot of fun and laughter in their forever home.
