Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Skeeter was adopted from BARC in early 2018 and has been a well-loved family member. Unfortunately, COVID had a negative impact on his dad's place of employment. Because the local branch has been shut down, the family is being transferred to the UK where bully breeds are banned. They had no choice but to try and find a new home for him before they moved, so now he is back with us.
Here's what his family had to say about sweet Skeeter:
Hello! My name is Skeeter, I am a pit mix with a black coat and I am roughly age 5 or 6. I was homed in 2018 but my family is going abroad and they sadly cannot take me, so I am looking for a new forever home.
I can get on all on my own with no other four legged friends just fine, but I also get on with other dogs and cats, though I do get a bit too excited and playful which might annoy them or take them some time to get used to. I don’t mean to be a bother, I just get so happy!
I can get a little scared of things like plastic bags, vacuums, trash cans, if I don’t know what they are they spook me at first and I get anxiety. However, I usually just stay away from them until I figure it all out and get used to them. I also like to bark whenever someone is at the door to let my owners know there’s a guest, but I’m not aggressive once they’re let inside and I love to be fussed over and pet.
I am very energetic and I love to run around, so some space to be able to do so would be ideal. However I also enjoy the more quiet moments too, whether that’s being curled up and cozy in my crate, following my mom around the kitchen, or giving whoever’s on the sofa plenty of lick-kisses and cuddles. I am very loving and love to be loved, I hope I can be your ideal family dog!
