Cartmen is a 10-year-old beagle mix that loves his people, loves to go on walks, loves to lay outside with you in the summer. He is also potty trained, crate trained, and great with cats. Cartmen loves to be petted and sit with you. He is very quiet and has just the sweetest demeanor.
Ideal Adoptive Family: Cartmen is quiet and spends a lot of time sleeping, so a quiet home would be best. He also loves his walks, so ideal adopters would be able to get him out for at least two walks a day. Cartmen loves being outside and snoozing in the sun too, so a nice deck, patio, or yard would make him very happy.
Likes: Cartmen’s crate is his favorite thing, he also loves his walks, and loves to be with his people
Age: 10 years old
Breed: Beagle/ Lab Mix
Weight: 50 lbs
Kid-friendly: Cartmen can be a little shy at first, but he did great with his foster’s 6-year-old grandchild.
Dogs: We were told when Cartmen was rescued that he was great with dogs. His foster family does not have any dogs, but we are told he gets really excited when he sees other dogs on walks!
Cats: Cartmen is GREAT with cats!!! No interest in playing with them, just some occasional sniffs
Crate trained: Yes! Cartmen loves his crate and happily goes in his crate throughout the day. The door to his crate is left open so he can come and go as he pleases.
Potty trained: Yes! Cartmen has not had any accidents while in his foster home.
Health concerns: Cartmen came to us with some skin allergies and hair loss. He is currently taking 8mg of allergy meds a day, and his skin is improving! Some hair is even growing back. We think he was allergic to something in the south, which is where he was rescued from.
Adoption fee: $325
Our dogs receive heartworm and flea/tick prevention each month. Dogs that have stage 4 dental disease will receive a dental procedure in rescue. We aspirate all lumps and remove those that our veterinary partners suggest removing. Adopters will be responsible for continued preventatives, follow-up appointments, and medications (if applicable). $50 discount for seniors (65+) and veterans. Adoption fees help pay for the dog's veterinary exam, vaccinations (rabies, distemper, and bordetella), HW test, blood panel, a microchip, and spay/neuter if needed and additional health needs specific to each animal.
