PLEASE READ this entire bio before submitting an application. Buttons is a 9 mos old 21# Corgi who was surrendered by his owner. Buttons is a high energy Corgi that will need continued training with impulse control and boundaries; he has already made good progress in the short time he’s been in Rescue. Buttons needs an ACTIVE (walks and backyard playtime are not sufficient for this guy) and EXPERIENCED herding breed owner with another YOUNG FRIENDLY dog in the home. Buttons is NOT a good first time dog nor is he a good fit for an apartment situation. Buttons needs a home with a fenced in yard, NO kids under 14 y/o, NO cats, and owners who are not gone long hours. He’s smart and learning to potty outside only. Buttons is crate trained and does pull some on the leash, but is a fun loving, silly Corgi who will make you laugh out loud at some of his antics. Buttons might be too much for small or older dogs who don’t enjoy rough housing Corgi style. Buttons knows some basic cues but would like humans who can teach him more and he’d love to learn a dog sport or have a job. Buttons is neutered, utd on vaccs, chipped, and HW-. If you are interested in being considered to adopt Buttons and meet the requirements above, you may complete our application at https://www.corgisandfriends.com/forms We require the application, home and reference check, and meet with all humans and pets in the home and are only considering application that meet all the criteria above. His adoption fee is $500 and we are not doing out of state adoptions.
