Annie is a 5 month old Boxer/Hound mix and weighs 18 lbs. Annie is a confident and friendly pup. She loves to use her nose to find her food and explore and would be great at scent work. She is very food motivated, likes to work for it, is very engaged and learns quickly.
She is very playful and spunky with both dogs and people. Her play style is to chase and be chased. She is a moderate to higher energy pup that likes to explore and play, but she also likes to be close to you and get affection. She would be a lap dog if she’s allowed to be.
She was in a foster home in Florida before she came up and hasn’t gone potty in her kennel or overnight at all, so we do assume she is house trained. She gets along well with other dogs, her best friend at the shelter is a 14wk old puppy.
She is great with people and resources, but she does have a little bit of resource guarding with toys and other dogs. She definitely prefers toys that more closely resemble animal hide. Annie was tested with a 10 yr old child and did great. Annie is a really fun pup who is ready for her new adventures with her people!
Want to Adopt? 1) Fill out an application on theluckypuppy.org The adoption fees for puppies 6 months and under are a minimum donation of $525, 6+months are a minimum donation of $450, 7+ years or special needs are a minimum $350 donation 2) Once your application is in, our adoption coordinator will contact you and complete a vet check and home visit (possibly electronic). 3) Once approved, please schedule a meet and greet to see the dogs. Meet and greets are by appointment only for approved adopters.
This dog is available in NY through the Go North Program of The Lucky Puppy Rescue centered in Bonifay and Panama City, FL (NY Lic #1054). This dog is currently in NY. The minimum donation $525 adoption fee includes transportation from FL to NY, spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, de-worm, flea prevention, heartworm prevention and martingale safety collar.
