Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**If you are interested in Geno, please fill out an adoption application on our website: www.roversretreat.org**
Meet Geno, a super adorable 6 1/2 month old Maltese-Westie mix. This precious little guy is looking for a home with lots of love to give. He will definitely win over your hearts with his expert kissing and snuggling skills. If evenings filled with snacks, snuggling and sitcoms is your thing and you’re looking for a sweet fur baby to join you – Geno may be a perfect match!
Geno loves to go on walks, loves to play with his squeaky toys and especially loves his treats! He will bark at some people and dogs on his walks, but responds well to treats and re-direction. He knows basic commands like come, sit and wait. He is being fostered with a large doodle, and they are great play buddies. He would do great with another playful dog in the home. If there is one thing that he dislikes, it would be car rides. They make him anxious but as long as you keep him on your lap he knows he is safe and does pretty well. His future adopter should be prepared to take him on lots of car rides to fun places so he starts associating rides with happy things.
Geno is very much a puppy and will need lots of appropriate chew toys. He is a quick learner and treat motivated which make training easy. He is doing great with potty training, and his future adopter will need to continue encouraging and reinforcing him when he goes potty in the right place. He has been sleeping in his foster parent’s bed and snuggles in all night.
We’re looking for a family who will continue Geno’s training, and give him the exercise and most of all the love he needs to thrive. If you think you have the perfect family home for Geno, we’d love to hear from you. Please complete our adoption application on our website: www.roversretreat.org
