My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Scruffy came by his name quite literally because he was found as a stray - filthy dirty and extremely badly matted. From the looks of things he had never in his life been groomed even though we think he's somewhere between 1 and 2 years old. Despite his poor grooming - he's a friendly, young medium sized adult male. While trying to cut his huge matts off he tolerated it extremely well and never showed any aggression. When being groomed properly by a groomer, he was also extremely well behaved. He rides well in a car, wanting to sit right beside you with his head on your lap or while in the backseat sticks his head between the 2 front seats and lays quietly. He took in one obedience class Sep 8th. He may be aggressive with other male dogs, so we might suggest he go to a home as an only dog. He's a medium sized sweetheart who we think with love and attention along with some more obedience training will be a great family pet. Our best guess is he's something along the lines of a terrier poodle cross but we cannot guarantee he is any of these breeds. He should also have regular grooming to prevent him becoming badly matted once again (photos with red background were right after grooming - blue background were taken Dec 7 - several weeks after grooming)
Scruffy was neutered Dec 3/09 so is now ready to go to his new home as soon as they are approved!
