Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Barks and Meows Rescue are now accepting applications for Scream. He is a 4-year-old Cattle Dog/Pug is our best guess. He weighs 40lbs and has a medium-length coat. Scream was found as a stray. Scream is the sweetest, most affectionate boy you will ever meet. He is extremely passive and he yearns to be loved and cuddled. He is a huge hugger, too much so, so he is learning that he cannot have attention 100% of the time. He is learning that his family will not ever leave him alone again and he will always have humans he can depend on. He is extremely quiet and we have not heard him bark. He is fantastic with all dogs and submits to all of them. Scream has a very good appetite and dances around when it's mealtime. He is fed twice daily, dry with a bit of canned. He has the cutest underbite you have ever seen. He is extremely gentle when taking treats and we guarantee you won't be able to resist his "please hug me" glances. At night he sleeps on a doggie bed with his foster family but would love to be able to sleep on the bed with a family member. Scream is housebroken and paper trained. He is no trouble at all in his foster home. He is not used to being on a leash so will need work using a body harness and lead. We believe another confident resident dog in the home will help give him confidence in how to act within a family unit. He loves children of all ages. He is fine in the vehicle as long as he is in a seatbelt otherwise he is all over the place. He really loves car rides. He is happy just being with a family member even if it is just snuggling on a couch watching tv. The ideal home for Scream is a family who is willing to spend the time and provide the necessary attention he craves. Another confident socialized resident dog will be important to help him lose his fear of abandonment. Children, ages 6 and up will be fine as well. A family who will take him for walks daily and work with training him on a lead and body harness. We believe he will learn many things from the resident confident family's dog. Scream is neutered, up to date with vaccines, dewormed, 4 DX tested negative, on heartworm/flea/tick prevention during the season, and microchipped. A fully fenced yard, another socialized canine, and a Veterinarian History of Compliance are mandatory in order to apply for Scream.
