My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hope's owner passed away ? and now she needs a new home. She's a special and sweet girl. Please share- Cypress, Tx Hope is a 10 year old female mixed breed dog who is spayed. She was found by a neighbor about 7 or 8 years ago and my mother decided to give her a home. We think she came from an abusive background because it took her a few days maybe a week or 2 to come out of the bathroom we gave her a bath in initially and then years to come out of the living room into the kitchen and then my mom’s bedroom. We gave her love and care, but she was very slow to warm up. She came around and became affectionate after time.
The last few years she has developed diabetes and requires insulin. She also had to have her right eye removed due to an infection from poking her eye somehow. She has a cataract in her remaining left eye. She can tend to startle if another animal enters her space if she is unaware of it because she may not be able to see them. She did have 8 other brothers and sisters as my mom had 9 dogs at the time of her passing.
