PLEASE scroll down and read the ENTIRE BIO. It is lengthy, but has ALL INFO we know. Emailing and asking for more info is only going to hold up your process and risk your chances of the dog you want being gone. JACK is located in SALEM, Ohio. HE is fully vetted including: neuter/rabies/Bordetella/parvo distemper vaccine/worming/heartworm lyme test/heartworm-flea prevent while in rescue. We do not ship dogs, we do not transport dogs, we do not hold dogs. You must be ready to adopt within 72 hours upon approval. FULLY VETTED ADOPTION FEE is: $125
** PLEASE NOTE: Since we are a shelter, the majority of our dogs have not had the luxury of a foster home. As a result, what we post in reference to their behavior, temperament, likes/dislikes etc is only what we witness here and not in a home atmosphere.
HEY, HEY, HEY!! My name is pretty simple to remember...JACK. However, regardless of what my name may end up to be my personality makes me unforgettable . For all you JRT lovers out there, HERE I AM!! and I am everything that y'all love in a JRT. I am fast, active, smart, agile, loving, and oh did i mention LOVING?? Check out the photo of me "treeing" a squirrel!! So, I guess what I'm saying is that I would do best in a home that is ready for a ton of fun and play AND THEN A TON MORE OF SNUGGLING!! If you have never owned a JRT and know nothing about our kind, please do yourself a favor and google up!! We are not for everyone but for those with the same personality as us we are THE BEST!!! I love all people of all ages. i LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to give kisses and snuggle up on the sofa with you humans....you are so squishy!! Car rides are the best especially if they take me on an adventure that ends in some exciting exercise. I could use some basic training classes and it would be a great bonding experience for both myself and my new owner(s). I am a young lad so I will need you to be patient with my potty training but with time, patience and consistency I am confident that we can make it work! Kids?? I love them.. Other dogs?? I love LOVE LOVE them too and as you can see by my pictures we have a BLAST together!! As a matter of fact, it has been discovered that I will REQUIRE another dog(s) to be in my new home. I can be crated when no one is home as long as I have company (aka another dog). If there is no other dog(s), I become very anxious, bark and act a fool til my humans return. Cats?? I have no idea so I'm gonna err on the side of caution and say "NO". I am doing good on a leash but with more practice I'm certain I will improve. The girls here at the shelter are convinced that I would make an excellent dock diving or agility dog due to my ability to outrun, outjump and outlast any of them!! Silly girls lol.
