Ellie Mae is a 1.5 year old female Terrier mix. She weighs 16 lbs. Ellie Mae is fun and spunky. She smiles! She can be a little cautious at first but gets comfortable and opens up quickly, especially when people read her behavior and are not overly forward. From her foster mom - Ellie Mae had her babies and did a great job at being mom. She definitely is an alpha female and wants to be respected as one. She doesn’t want to back down when being challenged but does play well with other dogs and does really well with kids. Ellie is extremely smart and is loyal- she has a great food and toy drive and does show some signs of food aggression. If Ellie Mae pushes the limits (what Alpha female doesn’t push the limits) she does take correction well and fast. She has done really well with interacting and snuggling with a 4 year old boy.
Tonight I brought Ellie Mae and Lucy to my store and let them run and they both choose to be with employees and clients. No barking from either of them either SO welcoming and happy.
Want to Adopt? 1) Fill out an application on theluckypuppy.org The donation fees are minimum $525 for puppies up to 6 months, minimum $450 for dogs 7 months to 6 years and minimum $ 350 for 7+ years/Special Needs. 2) Once your application is in, our adoption coordinator will contact you and complete a vet check and home visit (possibly electronic). 3) Once approved, please schedule a meet and greet to see the dogs. Meet and greets are by appointment only for approved adopters.
This dog is available in NY through the Go North Program of The Lucky Puppy Rescue centered in Bonifay and Panama City, FL (NY Lic #1054). This dog is currently in NY. The minimum donation $450 adoption fee includes transportation from FL to NY, spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, de-worm, flea prevention, heartworm prevention and martingale safety collar.
