Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Honey Bunny!
She loves people and being pet. If there are dogs and people in a yard she will go and greet the people first before playing with the dogs.
She likes plush dog toys. She really enjoys chewys of all kinds. Her favorite is stuffed bones.
We've had her in a crate in the car and she sat calmly the entire drive.
She has been in a variety of different play groups at the boarding facility and has done great with all dogs of various sizes and personalities there.
She was in a foster home briefly with children and she did really good with them. She is energetic and wiggly so we'd advise a home with kids 7yrs and older for her. The little kids she can easily knock over with her weight.
She loves loves loves to play!
Here is a video of her running and playing with two other dogs: https://youtu.be/O2C13aWexuk

Basics: She is guessed to be around 2 years old and weighs about 35 lbs. Spayed, up to date on vaccines and rabies.
Backstory: She was pulled from a shelter in Louisiana to save from euthanasia and brought to a boarding facility in Texas. Thankfully she was helped by our rescue partners and on the search for her forever family! She is being fostered at our boarding and daycare partner in Michigan City, IN
Adoption Process:
- please fill out our adoption application: https://www.dayofthedogs.org/adoption-application
- one of our team members will get back to you.
- our dogs can be seen by appointment only after an approved application has been received. We do not have a facility. Dogs are in foster homes or boarding
- Adoption fee helps to cover spay/neuter, initial vaccines, rabies, fecal, initial worming, and microchip.
-We cannot place holds on our dogs. Please do not contact us until you are prepared to adopt.
NOTE: We are very good about updating the pet's profiles once adopted. So no need to write us to ask "Is he/she still available?" If the post is up, the dog is still available.
About Us:
Day of the Dogs is a 501c3 nonprofit that is dedicated to helping shelters increase live release. We coordinate 2 - 4 transports per month from TX, OK and AR to NW Indiana/Chicagoland area. We do direct adoptions ourselves out of Dyer, IN area and partner with 12 other rescues and shelters in both IL and IN that are willing to help southern pets in need.
We rely on donations to help fund our ongoing transports. Please donate if you can. Every dollar adds up and we are grateful for any help we can get: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/DayoftheDogs
