Sultan is searching for his new family, and he wants his forever home to know these 9 things about him:
1. I am about 4 years old, and I’m not really sure what breed I am. If I had to pick one, I’d say that I most look like a Bullmastiff, because of my size, build, and super smooshy face.
2. My hips aren’t in the best shape, but I take medicine every day and it helps me tremendously. I am able to run, play, and climb stairs without issue, but I probably wouldn’t be a good fit for a family that likes to take long hikes.
3. I am sweet and sociable with humans, but sometimes I get way too excited when I interact with people and I tend to jump and get mouthy. Even though I’m not trying to actually bite or hurt them in any way, I know it’s not good doggy behavior and I am working on being better.
4. I think the best fit for me would be an adults-only home, but I would probably be just fine in a home with older teenagers, as long as they had previous training/experience with giant breed dogs.
5. I live with my sister Queenie at The Bullpen. We get along great, but I’ve also known her for a long time and she doesn’t mind too much when I’m bossy with her. I would like to find a home with a large female dogs to play with, but she should probably be pretty laid-back and we will need time to get to know each other before we are left unattended.
6. I haven’t had much experience living with cats, so I can’t say for sure if I like them or not.
7. The words that best describe me are affectionate, curious, and outgoing.
8. I am housebroken and I know how to use a dog door. I also know some basic obedience and I am working on my leash skills every day.
9. I am fully vaccinated, neutered, heartworm negative, and microchipped.

We highly recommend that our potential adopters fill out an online application as soon as possible, as it greatly expedites the process of finding the right dog for your situation.
Our dogs are available for adoption nationwide but preference is given to adopters willing to do an in-person meeting. Please understand that our dogs are not adopted on a first-come, first-serve basis, but rather we strive for a "perfect placement" so we know that they will not be failed again.
