My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My best pastime - Sleeping in a comfy spot near you or on you.

I am here through no fault of my own. I thought I had a home.

There are some things that I will not do in my adult years.

I am the MOST Laid-back, Mellow, Friendly, Loving guy you will ever meet.

Just want to find a lap to nap in....a window with some sun and view of birds and squirrels. Just the basics.

Talk to me...I listen.

I LOVE to get attention....I will follow you around and look up at you with my deep sultry eyes. Get the message? When you adopt me, brush up on your cat lingo...I use it all.

I LOVE to be held over your shoulder and petted. I will begin to give you a very light kitty acupuncture massage....you will hardly feel it, but you will feel it. Hope that makes sense to you.

I am the master of kneading and will do it in heartbeat on my soft blanket once you begin to pet me. My purr is a soft mellow tone....like me...listen for it.

My ears have some clips in it...one from my early time when neutered...the others, I do not recall...maybe from fights? It happens too when frostbitten...but in NC?

I could gain some weight. Seems I was possessive of my food at my last home ...I was so hungry, but never got enough to eat. I clean my plate of wet food here at the Pet Adoption Center.

Since I have been here, I have a most unusual eating routine. When you place the dish of wet food in front of me, I will sit and look at YOU first. I will NOT eat until you start to pet my back....THEN I will begin to eat. You can pet me for awhile and stop and I will continue to eat. I do not eat dry food - they have offered me all different brands and flavors - the bowl remains untouched. But maybe it is just that I am here and not in my home that I am not eating any dry food?

Let me tell you what my family wanted me to do that I refused to do - they wanted me to catch mice. Nope...not me. They entertained me when they scattered around. (the mice, not the family - a kitty joke)

I am microchipped.

Background:

I originally was rescued by a NC ACO and brought to their shelter...then transferred here for adoption 29 June 2020 and adopted 30 July 2020 when I was five years old....but now, I am back....checked-in on Sunday, 7 November 2021.
