Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Texas Jack - 8 years old, located in Washington state
Dog ID#: 210152-P-D-TX
Intake Date: 3/3/2021
Available Date: 3/24/2021
Hello everyone, this is Texas Jack checking in from my new home in Washington State. I’m just settling in, so here are a few things that my family have learned about me. Although I’ve never lived indoors before I’m getting the hang of it, and I really like relaxing in my crate. I like toys as well, so sometimes that crate gets overcrowded. Fortunately there are other pups here who help me out by redistributing the toys, and I don’t mind that – I get on with my house mates just fine. I really like attention, and my tail will start a-wagging even if you just look at me!. I’m a senior boy of an indeterminate age, my foster family think perhaps in excess of 8. I have really bad arthritis in my front leg and other aches and pains, so foster family are working with the vet to get me some relief. And when I arrived I had a fearsome case of the itches!! Something got me scratching, but foster family and my friends at the vet have really helped with that.
Texas Jack (also known by his foster family as "good-boy Jack") is a very sweet laid-back senior. His family are working on a treatment routine to minimize his joint pain, but he will need a home with a family able to meet his medical needs going forward. He is not cat tested, but has a relatively low prey drive, and is good with kids. Jack is fully vaccinated, microchipped and crate trained and his family are working on basic obedience.
