Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Personality:
The Good:
Sherlock is a lively, cute and playful young Cocker Spaniel. His most favorite activity is to play fetch with his favorite Nerf or tennis balls. He also really enjoys running and sniffing around all types of bushes. At night, he likes to nestle close and relax with us on the couch. He is house-trained, and well- behaved inside the house. He enjoys the company of adults and tends to “latch” to the person who takes care of him the most. He also loves belly rubs (who doesn’t?).
The Challenges:
Sherlock is a rescue dog, who just came here from Korea in November. He has not been socialized with other dogs, and is leash aggressive when he senses any other dog around.
This presents a difficult situation for us living in an apartment with no fenced yard and being surrounded by lots of other dog owners walking their pooches right by our place.
His Needs:
He does have separation anxiety, but is calm when you leave him for a few hours with a Kong toy filled with treats.
He has digestive issues and has to be on a special diet of Hills wet and dry dog food. He likes bananas, apples and blueberries as snacks (His vet says fruits and veggies are great for Cockers.) So, very few store-bought dog treats can be given to him.
He really needs a fast-paced walk or run at least twice a day for 20-30 mins. These walks are essential to lower his overall anxieties, and when we do them, he does much better outdoors on a leash. When we brought him to a dog sitter’s house with a yard, he absolutely loved the freedom to roam around and have his “own space”. It was then obvious to us that Sherlock really needs a backyard to run around in and let out his abundant energy.
Coat: His coat is very soft and med length.
Training: Sherlock needs tons of daily walk and has a lot of energy.
Potty trained: He can use potty pads but prefers to go out side.
