Meet Niko! Niko is an adorable 8-month-old lab mix who came into rescue when his owners realized they could no longer give him the attention he needed. He has spent the last couple of weeks settling in at her foster home and he is now ready to find his forever family!
Niko is a happy-go-lucky puppy. He loves everyone and just wants to be your best friend! He is super playful and enjoys playing with toys and going for long walks. As a young, active pup he will need plenty of outside activity. He would be a great hiking and adventure buddy! While Niko is a young pup, and still very energetic he is also mellow and cuddly once he gets his exercise. Niko is a velcro dog who follows his people around the house all day. If you're working Niko is laying at your feet, if you're watching TV Niko is on the couch next to you with his head on your lab. Doing dishes? Don't worry, Niko will be there to help! This cutie just wants to be part of anything and everything!
Niko has been a good house guest in his foster home. He has done well with potty training and will go out to the yard when he needs to potty. Of course with a new change, he will need some additional direction until he gets on a schedule and knows where he is supposed to go. Niko is a smart boy who learns quickly, and is super food motivated; Training will be a breeze with this big guy! Since he is still a puppy he still has picked up his foster belongings, at times, if left out. He has gotten much better about just playing with his own toys, but it will be important that his forever family puppy proof so there are no temptations for this goofy guy!
Niko is being fostered with 2 other medium-sized dogs and LOVES them. He will need a medium-large doggie playmate in his forever home to roughhouse with. He enjoys zoomies in the yard and wrestling with his doggie friends. He has done amazing with every dog he's met, he just wants to play!
