My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pepper is a smart and charismatic puppy with a bright future! She loves people and other animals and aims to please. With her herding tendencies, she thrives on having tasks to do, like chasing balls, playing with other dogs, and going on walks. Her best fit would be a family that is active walking/running/biking/hiking, is interested in agility training, or a family with a lot of land or farm. Caution should be taken with families with small children, as the puppy nibbles can be a bit hard.

She is crate trained and partially potty trained. She holds her bladder in the crate, but when she is out in the house she forgets that she is supposed to go potty outside sometimes. She fully understands the concept, just needs more time. Pepper is also very food motivated, which will make training that much easier.

Pepper's adoption fee will help to finance our program of readying additional dogs, puppies and kittens which we prepare, transport and adopt out in the northern United States. Our goal is to get as many homeless animals out of south Texas, where we have a severe pet overpopulation crisis (due mostly to our temperate weather where strays breed year-round and don’t tend to perish due to cold weather.)

She is currently being fostered in New Berlin, WI. Her adoption fee is $500 firm.
