My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rex!
Rex was adopted 6 months ago through HFP rescue. Unfortunately the adopter does not think it is the best environment for Rex who she believes would do better in a rural/quiet suburban setting as opposed to Berkley and urban city environment.

Rex would love a home w/ dog loving adults and a big back yard. Daily walks, jogs, in nature and a predictable schedule would be his ideal day to day life.

Rex used to live with three other dogs. He may do well again w/ the right match dog friend + is too interested in most kitties.

Rex is friendly, active, playful, smart, obedient, affectionate, gentle and calm.

He is dog friendly. Rex is submissive, and responds to all common commands promptly. He pulls on the leash due to excitement but does pretty well off leash. He has been to dog parks per his previous owner.

He is friendly meeting strangers.

No issues being left home. He is given a cookie when we leave and he never chews, digs, or acts anxious when home alone.

He loves car rides, bones, balls, water, exploring, Playing, running, snuggling and playing with other dogs.

Rex would do best with R+ (positive reinforcement training.

Rex is the perfect blend of mellow in the home but with lots of energy to play — he is never hyper or annoying. But he is smart and enjoys exploring, watching birds, being outside & playing with other dogs or people.
