My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ginger is a sweet, fun ball of love. All she wants is to be around people so she can show them how much she loves them. We all love her too, but she can't wait until she has a new family to love forever.

Ginger does have a mild heart murmur and some breed related kidney issues. Nothing terribly worrisome as of right now, but we are taking measures to support her kidney function so she can stay as healthy as possible. She will need to be kept on a kidney supportive diet, as well as a daily kidney supplement.

This gorgeous gal is so soft and cuddly and will be an awesome snuggle buddy. She would prefer having her family around more often then not and may need some help getting comfortable spending time alone. She just thinks that someone should always be around for her to love and honestly we can't fault her.

Ginger is around 5 years old as of 11/04/21.

Sweet Ginger is a lovely pup and just can't wait until she has her own family again!

If you would like to meet this special dog, please email dogs@lunashouse.org to set up an appointment. Please be patient to hear from us as we are all volunteers and may not be able to respond immediately.

Our volunteers make sure just the right home is chosen for each dog so a home visit is required in addition to an adoption application process.

You must live within a 50 mile radius of our location in order to be considered. The adoption fee is $250 and includes vaccines, flea prevention treatment, neuter/spay, and microchipping.

Disclaimer: Visual breed identification in dogs in unreliable, for most of our dogs we are making the best guess at what the predominant breed or breed mix might be. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each dog based on personality and temperament, not breed label.
