Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sweet Tasha is a quiet, nervous gal, which considering how much things have changed for her makes sense. This sweet lady came into our program when her former guardian was no longer able to care for her, and while we tell her we love her constantly she just doesn't understand what is going on.
We think that once in a new home, after she has time to settle in and learn that her new family will love her and keep her safe, she will warm up. She may never be super comfortable with strangers but we think she will really bond well with her core family. She will need a calm, stable home that is willing to help her through her nerves and build up her confidence.
Tasha was diagnosed as hypothyroid in May of 2021. She is on a typically inexpensive medication and will need routine blood work to correctly monitor her health.
Tasha has lived with children before and seems to like them so a home with calm, respectful, children may be a good fit for her. She also has shown interest in other dogs so she may really enjoy a relaxed dog sibling of her own to show her the ropes.
Tasha is around 1.5 years old as of 11/04/21.
This adorable girl may not show her true personality right off the bat but we really think with time and love she will become a wonderfully fun and loving addition to her new family.
If you would like to meet this special dog, please email dogs@lunashouse.org to set up an appointment. Please be patient to hear from us as we are all volunteers and may not be able to respond immediately.
Our volunteers make sure just the right home is chosen for each dog so a home visit is required in addition to an adoption application process.
You must live within a 50 mile radius of our location in order to be considered. The adoption fee is $250 and includes vaccines, flea prevention treatment, neuter/spay, and microchipping.

Disclaimer: Visual breed identification in dogs in unreliable, for most of our dogs we are making the best guess at what the predominant breed or breed mix might be. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each dog based on personality and temperament, not breed label.
