My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dahlia is a sweet, affectionate foxhound who had a rough start to life in Louisiana, but has blossomed into a cuddly and fun pup with the patience and love of her foster. She is 2.5 years old and weighs about 45 lbs. Dahlia loves squeaky toys, nylabones, and rope toys - anything she can chew on - and keeps herself entertained. She enjoys cuddling with her humans and running around with her pals at the dog park. Dahlia was initially unsocialized when she came to us, but has gained a lot of confidence in her foster home, and needs a family that will continue working with her to be more comfortable around new people. Dahlia needs a home in a rural or suburban area, preferably with a fenced yard, or at a minimum, a secluded yard where she won't be spooked by strangers. A low key home with 1-2 adults would be ideal. She would benefit from the companionship of another dog, but it is not required. Dahlia is currently being fostered in New Hampshire and is available for visits.
