Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Daisy!
*Daisy's adoption fee has been sponsored anonymously.*
Hello, my name is Daisy. I'm about 4 years old now, and weigh just 50 pounds, and sadly I was abused when I was younger. I have some severe nerve damage in my spine because of this, which prevents me from knowing if or when I'm pooping. Fear not, as long as I stay on a structured diet, containing good food, my poo is really easy to clean up. Also, if I go for a walk about 30-60 minutes after eating I typically go then, and there is no worries about me going in the house. Please be sure to use a harness so I don't slip out of my collar. After some hard work, I learned how to go pee outside, but I need to be reminded that I'm supposed to go while I'm out. If you have a fenced yard, that's great, but it must be tall, so I don't jump over it trying to chase those squirrels who always tease me! I get along with other dogs, although I can be assertive when meeting new dogs, and when I want to play. I've never been mean to others, I just really want them to know I'm excited to meet them and play! I have also done well with the cats I've met.
My favorite thing to play with is my ball! It came with me from my last home, and it will come with me to my forever home. My mom, you know, the nice lady who saved me from abuse, always used to tell me what a pretty girl I was and I love hearing that! Well, can you blame me? I am pretty! Please be patient with me when I come home with you. It may take me a little while to decompress and realize I'm there to stay. Give my ears a few rubs and talk to me often and I promise I'll be okay!

Disclaimer: It is VERY difficult even for a veterinarian to tell the exact age of a dog over two years old. From one vet to another, we can get different age estimates on the same dog and they can vary by several years. We are only making an educated guess based on a few factors like teeth, fur color, and overall body condition, but for dogs who have not been given adequate vet care and food, it can be even more difficult. Every dog is an individual, and we do our very best to age appropriately but make no guarantees as to the age of any dog in our program.
