Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
NOTE: BEAU IS WITH HIS OWNER, NOT GSRSV. WE HAVE NOT MET BEAU. WE ARE LISTING HIM ON OUR PET LIST TO GIVE HIM MORE ADOPTION EXPOSURE.
"Beau" is an 11-month old (born 12-2-20), approx 85-lb, AKC-registered GSD who is smart, loving and playful. Beau is good w/ strangers he meets, both inside the house and otherwise. He has yet to be around young children.
Beau is good with other dogs, including small dogs. He likes to play w/ other dogs.
Beau has not been around cats so his owner is seeking a a home WITHOUT CATS for him.
Beau is housetrained but his owner keeps him in a crate when she is away because she is still not completely comfortable with him having free run of the house unsupervised. She also keeps him in his crate at night.
Beau is well-trained; he received eight weeks of basic obedience training when he was a puppy. He walks very well on leash but does become distracted when he sees other dogs. Off-leash, he still needs work.
Beau is a polite passenger in a vehicle. He loves to play fetch (see elsewhere on this page for a video of Beau fetching the ball).
Beau’s owner Susan adopted him from a friend when he was five months old. The friend had to let go of Beau due to health issues s/he was experiencing. Susan had planned to train Beau as a service dog. However, Beau did not pass the entry exam for service dog certification because he growled at the assessor when s/he hugged him. (Beau tolerates hugs from family members but is not particularly comfortable when hugged.) So, Susan is now seeking a new home for Beau.
Susan is seeking a person or family experienced with GSDs and who has time to commit to Beau’s continued development to adopt him.
Beau is located in Fair Oaks. A $250 rehoming fee is requested.
