Meet Bongo!
He just arrived to us from one of our rescue partners in Texas. He was found as a stray roaming the streets of Houston.
Basics: He is guessed to be around 5 months old and weighs about 17 lbs. He will be neutered at our partner vet in Cedar Lake, IN. Adopter must be comfortable returning dog for neuter. An additional $100 deposit will be required with the neuter addendum.
He is up to date on vaccines, rabies, fecal, has had de-wormer, flea-tick prevention and heartworm prevention
Adoption Process:

- our dogs can be seen by appointment only after an approved application has been received. We do not have a facility. Dogs are in foster homes or boarding
- Adoption fee helps to cover spay/neuter, initial vaccines, rabies, fecal, initial worming, and microchip.
-We cannot place holds on our dogs. Please do not contact us until you are prepared to adopt.
NOTE: We are very good about updating the pet's profiles once adopted. So no need to write us to ask "Is he/she still available?" If the post is up, the dog is still available.

Day of the Dogs is a 501c3 nonprofit that is dedicated to helping shelters increase live release. We coordinate 2 - 4 transports per month from TX, OK and AR to NW Indiana/Chicagoland area. We do direct adoptions ourselves out of Dyer, IN area and partner with 12 other rescues and shelters in both IL and IN that are willing to help southern pets in need.
