My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Clarke! He is timid in new situations and would be best as the only animal in the house to start with. No other cats. He will come out of his shell with lots of one on one contact, brushes and affection. Clarke has been tested positive for F.I.V but still has a lot of potential to grow. The shelter is just a little too much for him so he stays in hiding, and he is very good at finding places to hide. He is actually the top hide and seek champion, but the staff always take time out of their day to find him and let him know things will be okay. Clarke has been with us since September 17, 2021.

If you are interested in an animal you’ve seen on our website, you can call 519-833-2287 or send an email to learn more about them. You can also stop by the shelter to meet the animal in person. It may take a few visits to find the animal that is a perfect match for you.

You can stop by the shelter Monday through Sunday from 11:00 am – 5:00 pm.

You may wish to call the shelter before visiting to confirm the location and availability of the animal you would like to meet. The UCHS staff can let you know if the animal is currently at the shelter or at one of our remote locations, such as a foster home, local pet supply store or our Thrift Shop.
