Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Barney is a loveable basset hound who came to HHBR after meeting the business end of a set of Great Pyrenees dogs. While wandering the countryside in search of a new home – or perhaps looking for his previous owners – Barney wandered into a goat ranch. Unfortunately, the goats’ care takers, the Great Pyrenees dogs, did not recognize that Barney was making a social call and tried to protect their goats. Barney suffered several puncture wounds from the bites, but was rescued by a neighbor who thought he was well worth saving.
Barney is approximately 8 years old, neutered, up to date on his shots, microchipped, and ready to find a new forever home. He loves his tummy rubbed and has never met a stranger. He will nose your hands to get you to pet him, stand in front of you and stare you down to get your attention, then drop to the floor and roll over for some tummy scratches. He is well behaved with other animals, including cats, and housetrained. He gladly spends his days on his favorite couch if you let him.
