Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hiccup is a loveable 7 year old basset female. She is spayed, up to date on her shots, microchipped, and ready for a new, forever home to call her own. Her family loved her so much they often rewarded her with treats, which added a little to her waistline. Currently Hiccup weights 80 pounds, but she's working a new figure for her new home.
Hiccup came to Helping Hands Basset Rescue after her lifelong owners could no longer care for her. Although it was heartbreaking for her family to give her up, they know it was the best for this beautiful lady.
Hiccup spent her days playing dress-up with a four year old child, and her evenings asleep with the family cat. Her family loved to put her in crazy outfits, and Hiccup loved the attention. Hiccup finds herself at home in any situation - other dogs, lots of cats, or even lots of children are no problem for this gracious lady. She prefers air-conditioning on hot, Texas days, but will stay outside all day with her family just to be together. The child in the family often used Hiccup as a pillow, and Hiccup can't wait to be a pillow for someone new!
