Hi everyone, my name is Hogan. I’m a handsome 82lb, 2 year old Shepherd mix in search of my forever home. I was found running in the streets of Houston. My foster mom who is a vet tech was on her way home from work and saw me eating garbage at a railroad track. She tried to get me but I was scared and took off running. She didn’t give up and followed me for 1/2 a mile before finally catching me. I was terrified, hungry and thirsty. It took me awhile to warm up. People haven’t treated me well so it takes me time to trust. I’m house trained, kennel trained and sweet as can be. I do well with some dogs and play very gently. I would do better in a home that has older children and a calm environment. I’m learning to play ball and I walk well on a leash. I may always be a little nervous of new things so I will require an experienced home. I’m a big love bug.
