Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This adorable little rascal is Billie! She is around two years old and thought to be a full breed Dachshund, but we do not have the test to prove it. Billie had a wild life being out on the run, until being trapped. It’s safe to say, she did NOT care for that experience one bit! She was scared and timid, as to be expected under those circumstances. However, 24 hours later, she revealed herself to be one of the sweetest dogs we’ve ever met! Billie is not perfect for everyone nor every home so PLEASE read the entire bio before considering to apply.
Billie is an active dog and shines as an only-dog or may be a good friend to another dog who likes to play and does not mind sharing toys. She is being fostered in a home with two other dogs who love to play and they all get along well. On the flip side, Billie is completely content to spend all of her time with her person.
Billie is working on her potty training and doing great but she requires a securely fenced yard so as to run around and do “her business”. She is fantastic on leash and loves to go for walks so if you’re looking for an exercise buddy, she may be your gal. Billie is still mastering crate training so if you have experience with crate training, that would be great.
Not so bad; right? So here’s the rub…Billie is not suitable for an apartment as she barks when her person or dog friends are not near so that would be a big issue in an apartment/condo/townhome/duplex situation. Also, not untypical of Dachshunds in general, she will do best in a home WITHOUT small children.
If you got through all of that and are still interested, Billie’s adoption fee is $200. She is completely vetted, microchipped and spayed. Submit your application and let’s talk about it!
