Meet Blazer, formerly known as Aparo at the shelter. This boy is quickly becoming a favorite of everyone who meets him! We agonized a bit over the decision of whether to pull this boy to become part of our program. When we assessed him, it quickly became evident that this boy was shut down. Shut down dogs are a risk, because as they become more comfortable, and come out the other side, you don't know what you will see. But Blazer, despite being shut down, continued to solicit attention from us, in the quietest, most polite way. We felt that when he came out from being shut down, that we weren't going to see anything scary, so we pulled him anyway. And we couldn't be happier that we did!
Blazer loved meeting all the guys. He loves being the object of anyone's attention. He loves to give hugs, and hold hands. In fact, he loves just about everything. And with every day that passes, we see a more confident dog - one that we adore! We are pretty sure you will too!
Blazer is probably around 2, and just under 50 pounds, although he could stand to put on a few more. He has ticking in his white coat and we believe that he is a pointer mix, with possibly some lab He has the sweetest, most gentle way about him, and he would likely be a fit for just about any household. If sweet, gentle boys are your cup of tea, you are sure to fall just as hard for Blazer as we already have!
