My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you are looking for the happiest dog of all time, you have found her! Lydia has a tail that is constantly wagging, and it manages to wag even harder for every person or dog that she meets. This girl is an absolute love bug at 2 years old and 45 pounds. She is mostly house trained and she loves to play, with humans or other dogs! She is very energetic and athletic and would benefit most from being in an active household, perhaps with another pup to match her energy level. She walks well on a leash and is just a sweet goofball - super social, playful, and loves her toys!
If you're on the search for a companion who will bring you much joy, go on adventures with you, and love you endlessly, Lydia is your girl! Apply now on cprdogs.com.

Visit our website to see our weekend Events here! Pup’s with the designated “meet me” next to their names are in CT and ready to attend adoption events. Please check with your adoption coordinator if you are interested in a specific dog prior to coming to an event, as a dog's availability to attend can change at any time. We can not guarantee approval on site at the events, so we recommend applying ahead of time. You can apply at the event, but the application process may not be able to be completed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event!

The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are picked up from our Southbury, CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. The additional fee is necessary to comply with CT HB 5368. The adoption donations includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. This dog tested positive for heartworms and has been treated in our care.

If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05.

TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back.

After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.
