#ArtSenior sweet Pita, 9, is a tiny FORMERLY heart worm positive senior rescued from our local animal control facility as an unclaimed 5lb stray in April. 😳😩
She had her last injection for heart worm in July and also lost TWENTY teeth during her desperately needed dental. She gave us a scare earlier this month when she started coughing but Dr. Mokos quickly diagnosed her with an upper respiratory virus. Phew! Pita has now recovered and been officially cleared for adoption. 🎉
It’s now time to find her #newstART. She would prefer a low traffic home with none, or another calm dog or two. She eats small breed dry kibble with absolutely no issues. In fact she LIVES to eat and needs an owner committed to not allowing her to put weight on her tiny body to prevent causing hip and knee pain.
