My story

Meet Delta! This scruffy peanut came to us via The Athens County Dog Shelter after a person was seen on video placing her in a drop kennel wearing welding gloves. Delta was traumatized. 😳
It took an entire week before we could even touch her. We gave her the space and decompression time she needed indoors in a “safe” quiet room. Before long she was jumping for joy and running and playing with her foster siblings in the big fenced play yard. She’s still shy about meeting new human faces but she’s come so far!
Delta, age 2, 8lbs, has been spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, is heart worm negative and searching for her #newstART. Her best match is a home with a friendly pup of equal size and energy and a fully fenced yard. Delta loves to play chase with her foster siblings. She adores her foster mom and sleeps under the covers at night. She will just require extra patience and a gentle hand. She is not yet leash trained and does require a secure fence. She is crate trained and loves a peanut butter Kong.
