This helps Redstone Husky Rescue with pet care costs.
Rosemary came to us from a connection and a newtork of dog loving animal welfare supporters in the DFW area. She has been living on the street on her own for five years, and in that time she had 3 litters of puppies that were all taken into homes or into rescue care. It was finally Rosemary's turn with the dedicated help of some amazing people and a professional trapper.
She was heartworm positive and has undergone treatment. SHe has come such a long way form being a frightened little lump in a private room to the happy girl she is today.
While Rosemary has made extravagant strides in the direction of being accustomed to living indoors, she is still frightened by quick movements or loud sounds. She will need a very specific home willing to continue working with her - perhaps for the rest of her life - on learning how ot be a dog and a dog living in a home. She is incredibly sweet and does accept human affection when she knows the person.
Rosemary is approximatly 6 to 7 years old.
