My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Trooper is a blind Silky Terrier, is 6 years old and weighs 10 lbs. He loves treats, is very affectionate and loves being in a lap and getting pets. He is so gentle and sweet and gets along perfectly with other dogs and cats. Trooper is housebroken as long as he is taken out often. He is so cute because he will carry around a toy, drop it to go outside to do his business, then come back inside and pick up the toy again. Before he came to our rescue, it is apparent he was rarely if ever walked on a leash, so that will be a work in progress. He needs an adopter with a home with no stairs, and a fenced-in yard which is what he has been used to. He is crate trained. He would do best in an all-adult home with someone who is home most of the time and can take him out often and help him navigate when he needs it. He is a low shedder but will need regular brushing and grooming.  If you live in the central Florida (Orlando) area and think you have the perfect forever home for Trooper, we’d love to find out more about you.
