My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi my name is Martha and I'm a sweet little tabby and white girl. I have four other siblings (all brothers!) and we were all born on the Fourth of July so we all have patriotic names! Check us out! We will be ready for adoption in a couple weeks. We pretty much want to just play all day but when we tire out we do want a nice warm lap to snuggle up on. We have been handled since the day we were born so we're all super sweet and loving. I would love to be adopted with one at my siblings if it all possible. But if you have a furry friend for me to bond with that might work too! Our favorite toy or the spring and a string on a stick! But we'll play with just about anything! All you've got to do is look at me and I will purr! Adopt a pair of us and you won't be sorry! We will keep you laughing!!

I'm shy with new people and hiss some, but that's just me being a little afriad. Take me home and give me the patience I need to be your friend. Love, Martha

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

Our adoption process is not first-come, first-serve. Our goal is for the right fit -- for the adopter and our fosters.

2.
Interview

We will contact you either my phone or email to go over your application.

3.
Approve Application

Once your application has been approved, we will work with you to set up a time to meet your potential new family member.

4.
Meet the Pet

If you do not have a specific cat in mind, we can set up a meet and greet to introduce you to several of our wonderful fosters.

5.
Sign Adoption Contract

6.
Pay Fee

$150 donation fee, subject to change at any time. This fee is nonrefundable after 14 days.

7.
Take the Pet Home

Be sure to arrive at your meet and greet with a carrier - just in case you decide to finalize the adoption that day.

Additional adoption info

Our rescue policy requires all kittens and cats to be spayed and neutered before adoption. If you are interested in one of our kittens who are too young to be spayed or neutered, we will accept a pre-adoption application, but will not finalize until post surgery and recovery. Adoption fee must be paid to hold the kitten(s).

7WHSKRS stands for 7 Women Helping Save Kitties Rescue Society. It is our goal to help as many abandoned, stray and injured kitties in the Winter Garden area as we can through in-home fostering and our supporters.

Among us, we have decades of rescue experience. And even though we're in a pandemic, we decided to start our own rescue, because cats still need our help. And to do what we do, we need your help too! Donations and fosters are always needed.
