My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This handsome little man was born to a family of 5 sisters! At 5 weeks old, his foster momma noticed he didn't move and climb the same as his sisters. A vet check confirmed that he suffers from Cerebellar Hypoplasia (also known as Druken Sailor or Wobbly Cat Syndrome). Lou had mild head tremors, unsteady, wobbly walking, falling down and wasn't able to climb or keep up with his sisters activity level. He has grown quite a bit and has adapted to his restrictions. He is pretty verbal and does not let his disability slow him down. He loves to play and has the cutest little run when he sees something he wants. He gets lots of cuddles and kisses from his foster momma and loves to sleep on her lap and rub against her legs.
Lou's new family should understand that he must be kept indoors, shouldn't be declawed, and furniture should be minimal with carpeted areas for him to help with his mobility. There is no cure or treatment for Cerebellar Hypoplasia, but the symptoms will not worsen.

He is FIV/FelV negative, flea treated and dewormed, up to date on his vaccines, and has been neutered.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING!
An adoption application can be found at www.oxfordcountyanimalrescue.com (click on Adopt, then Cats for Adoption, then scroll to the bottom of the page). We require 2 non-familial references (including contact numbers) as well as permission to speak with your vet.
Please note that yearly vet visits are a requirement for all our adopted kitties. If this is not your past practice, your application will not move forward.
You must be 21 years old to adopt. The adoption fee is $200.
It may take up to 72 hours to approve your application. Please provide all requested information, including contact numbers, to help expedite the process. Repeated phone calls and emails will not move your application along.
We are a volunteer, foster based rescue. We are not able to facilitate meet and greets before an application is received. You are not able to meet multiple kitties to see if one fits as the animals may be fostered in different locations.
Please help us get the kitties to their forever homes faster by respecting these guidelines!
